The Pillow Concerts will bring joy and happiness to little and grown up classical music admirers in Russe for the second consecutive year. The programme will be incredibly exciting and energetic as this time it includes the percussion instruments – marimba, timpani, drums, xylophone, and others. We will be mesmerised by their exceptional possibilities which will shine in the hands of percussionists Martina Miteva and brothers Kiril and Nikola Petrov. The music will make the little feet to alternate between movement and rest as the programme includes several diverse dances – horo, chardash – as well as works where we can enjoy beauty, melody and musical smiles.
The concert is organised after the kind invitation of the March Music Days Festival as part of the March Music Days Junior series – a partnership project between the Ruse Municipality and the America for Bulgaria Foundation. It is free for all families but a preliminary reservation is required. An hour before the music event, all guests are invited to participate in the Pillow Workshop where percussion instruments will be made and decorated in the most unusual and creative ways.
