2019/2020

After nine exciting years of inspirational music and countless smiling fans, the Pillow Concerts are on the doorstep of their tenth anniversary 2019/2020 season, which is more than ever filled in with a positive mood and lots of surprises. Frequent guests over the years were audience’s favorite ensembles like the Brass Quintet, the Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Windy Wind Quintet, and a number of the most outstanding Bulgarian musicians living abroad such as violinist Greta Mutlu, violist Elitsa Bogdanova, and percussionist Vassilena Serafimova. Of course, we have sang together with the virtuosos of the vocal art – soprano Dorotea Doroteeva and baritone Alexander Mutafchiiski, as well as the jazz wizard Vesi Morova and her band.


There were also numerous guests from abroad – the Spanish Academia de los Afectos Wind Quartet, the Polish Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki, the British 12 Ensemble, German violinist Milena Vilke, Italian harpsichordist Sauro Argalia, and many, many others. As always, our Artistic Director, pianist Veneta Neynska, was the smile presenter of many of the concerts, and together we witnessed many kids’ smiles as our little fans danced, drew pictures, and made a variety of souvenirs in the traditional Pillow Workshop. During the tenth season of Pillow Concerts in Sofia, tickets will be offered for separate concerts, but all events will be united in our membership program, which comes with various discounts, gifts and benefits.
