Opera Pillow Concert is the inaugural event of the Pillow Concerts’ fifth concert season. The exciting musical adventures are a must in our programmes but this time we are also adding imaginary trips throughout the musical cultures of the world. In October, we are visiting Italy where besides pizza and soccer a special place in people’s hearts is given to the opera. The programme will include famous opera arias and Italian canzonetti by Puccini, Donizetti, and the birthday boy this month – Giuseppe Verdi.
The magic of the operatic art will be presented by the soprano Doroteia Doroteeva and tenor Dimiter Zashev. Both have extensive experience on the world’s operatic stages which will help them guide us through masterpieces like La Traviata, Rigoletto, Sicilian Vespers, La bohème, and many others. Pianist Veneta Neynska is accompanying. As usual, the concert will be preceded by the free Pillow Workshop. After its final, our most curious admirers can learn more about the opera at the Pillow Musical Lesson.

Известни с изключителния си естетически вкус и създаващи предмети, общоприети като дефиниция на красивото, италианците са създатели и на най-великото (според тях, а и не само) музикално изкуство в света – жанра на операта.
